Isaiah 41: 29-31
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might, he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run; and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.
This bit of scripture is so well known that it’s become like a scriptural cliché. But how many of us really practice it? What with the way our current society is completely taken up with speed and everything now for now; the quicker the better! But that’s not what it says in the Good Book. So let’s start waiting on him, so that we may be really strengthened. It’s not always easy, but it’s usually better for us in the long run.
End of Sermon!
