Hosea 4: 1-2.
Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.
Does History repeat itself or what? The prophet Hosea penned those sad words hundreds of years before J.C was born. But just as they were true in Hosea and J.C’s time, they are oh so true today. We have become a Godless people. Everyday more of God’s profile is being erased or eradicated from our society. All the negative,’ un-God-like’ things mentioned by Hosea are rampant in our world. The saddest part though is that our children’s children are the ones who will bear the greatest burden from our descent into un-Godliness, because if we continue our quick, downward spiral, by the time they become adults there will be little, or no trace of God at all, left in the world. So if we want future generations to remember us kindly, we’ve got to change right now, turn back to God. For the children’s sake…Let’s teach them to pray. Much LOVE!
