Today’s Scrip-Bit 16 June 2007 James 2:14, 17-18, 20

James 2: 14, 17-18, 20.

What doth it profit, brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? Can faith save him?   Even so, faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.  Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: Shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.  But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead.

It’s something we all are guilty of to some degree. We talk a very good talk, but we can’t back it up with our walk. But if we claim to be followers of J.C. then we’ve got to behave like him. And he was most definitely a doer. He certainly walked his talk. So let’s try and bring up our level of good works to our level of talking. It’s not easy, and J.C. said that it would not be. But he also said that if we trust in him, he will help us. And you know he ALWAYS keeps his promises. Much faith…Plenty good working…and as always…Lots of Love.
