Today’s Scrip-Bit 26 June 2007 Daniel 10: 11-12

Daniel 10: 11-12.

And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood trembling. Then he said unto me, Fear not Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

What a powerful message! It made Daniel tremble. Although Daniel was going through some tough times in Babylon, far away from home, recognized by a different name, surrounded by a foreign culture, he never forgot the God of his fathers. He still prayed consistently and tried to live right, and eventually his God answered him through the Angel. That’s how we should always operate: In times of trouble we should hold steadfast to the Rock. Even when it seems that all hope is lost, know for a definite fact that He’s hearing our prayers, and at the right time…like Daniel… He’ll reach out to us and say, "Beloved child… Fear not… Stand upright…I am here…I am always here…"  Much LOVE!
