Song of Solomon 4: 9-11.
Thou hast ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse; thou hast ravished my heart with one of thine eyes, with one chain of thy neck.
How fair is thy love, my sister, my spouse! how much better is thy love than wine! and the smell of thine ointments than all spices!
Thy lips, O my spouse, drop as the honeycomb; honey and milk are under thy tongue; and the smell of thy garments is like the smell of Lebanon.
What beautiful poetry! Was Solomon something else or what! He certainly had a way with words. That’s the manner in which we should interact with our spouses. Not necessarily in such overboard terms, but certainly in a kind, respectful and loving manner. Men, please remember to whisper those sweet nothings. And women, please, please don’t only appreciate them in silence, but more importantly, show that appreciation in some tangible form, so that the other party can know that their actions and/or words are appreciated. It’s these little things that keep a relationship fresh and fun loving. I just could not resist those beautiful words of Solomon today, since I had not seen the wife of my youth for three, whole, long days. Wow! Much LOVE to all.
