Joshua 7: 10
And the Lord said unto Joshua, Get thee up, wherefore liest thou upon thy face.
Hn, hn,hn! Today, while searching for a Scrip-Bit, I suddenly foiund myself in a strange, sour mood. Nothing was really wrong. I was allright when I started, and for the life of me I could not understand why I had suddenly become so blah. To make matters worse, I could not find a bit that impressed me, although several seemed appropriate. In frustration, I shut the Bible and decided to just open it at random. The first time I opened it in Job, but nothing satisfied me. But the second time it opened unto Joshua, and since that was the only passage underlined on the page, it immediately drew my attention, and I knew that it was supposed to be today’s bit. I guess God was tired of Joshua prostrating himself, pleading for the stubborn Israelites, and figured he should be up doing something more constructive. I guess he was asking me too why I was fiddle faddling and not being decisive, when there was so much to be done. Let’s stop lying on our faces people! We do no good down there. Instead, let’s get up, sing, praise and spread the Word of the Lord! Amen!
