Exodus 4: 10-12.
And Moses said unto the lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. And the Lord said unto him, who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or the deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? Have I not the Lord? Now therefore go; and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.
Ah Lord eh! Him and his crazy modus operandi. For some reason I never seem to check the early part of the Old Testament for Scrip-Bits, however yesterday I happened to be in Exodus for something else and the above passage caught my eye. It immediately brought to mind the early stages of the Scrip-Bit process, when I was feeling the moving of the spirit in me to do it, but obviously resisting. Unlike Moses, I did not stammer, but I never felt I had the wherewhital to do it. But as we all know He persisted and I eventually gave in. And it’s almost two months since it’s inception. I guess He was trying to tell me, see, I never ask you to do something without giving you the tools to do it. Let’s remember that. And, in spite of my initial reluctance, I am actually enjoying doing this Scrip-bit thing. Hope you enjoy receiving it. Love.
