Today’s Scrip-Bit 25 July 2007 Matthew 7: 1-2

Matthew 7: 1-2.
Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgement ye judge, ye shall be judged, and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

What profound words from the greatest philosopher ever: J.C. It seems so simple and obvious, yet we still do it; sit in judgement of others, belittling them for making innocent mistakes, gossiping and spreading stories that we don’t have a clue about. Hn! But let anybody sit in judgement of us, or spread false, idle rumours…Oh Brother! We are quick to get up in arms and rail against them, conveniently forgetting that we do the same thing. Let’s not sit in judgement of others, unless we have the full facts, and even so, remember to temper it with mercy, because when they catch us with our pants down, I’m sure we’ll want them to exercise some mercy too. We have a saying down T&T way, that covers this topic rather appropriately; ‘Do so eh like so;’ meaning that people who do wrong or unfair things to others, don’t like the same things done to them. So please remember that, the next time you get high and mighty and put on your hypocritical judical wig and robes. As always…Much LOVE!
