Isaiah 40: 28-31.
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint.
Oh Lord, I’m faint and have no might…but I’m waiting, like you said to do. (sigh & smile) It’s been a long, tiring and disappointing day and this popular passage of encouragement seemed to be the best way to lift my spirits and keep me focused on God and not my problems. If the young and strong can faint and fall, then what can you expect from the ole fella eh? Anyway, for all of you my friends out there, if you had a below average day, or even if you did not, please look to the Most High to turn your situation around. He neither faints or gets weary. And if he promised to renew our strength when we turn to him, he’ll keep that promise. So please, let’s do that, so that he can strengthen us and cause our spirits to soar up into the wild, blue yonder! Much LOVE!
