2 Chronicles 26: 4-5.
And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Amaziah did. And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper.
How wonderful that sounds! Wish I could say that about all of us (smile). It’s truly amazing that at age sixteen, when Uzziah began to reign over Judah, that he was wise enough to follow in the good footsteps of his father, and also seek the Lord. Not many of us would be mature enough at that young age to do it. A very important point though, is that he had the help of the Prophet Zechariah. We all need someone, at some stage of our lives, not necessarily a prophet, but someone with a certain amount of worldy wisdom to help guide us in our Christian walk; we can’t do it alone. And as long as Uzziah followed the right path, God caused him to prosper. I like that. It shows the faithfulness of our God. If we seek Him, He will look after us. We all want to live a good life, and the only way to do that with any surety friends, is to seek Him. Praise The Lord! Bless His Holy Name!
