Today’s Scrip-Bit 31 July 2007 Luke 21: 33-36

Luke 21: 33-36.
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. And take heed to yourselves, lest at anytime your hearts be overcharged
with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that
dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall
come to pass and to stand before the son of man.

We can’t ask for a better warning than that. J.C. spelt it out quite clearly; everything shall pass away, but not his words, so we better had pay
attention to how we live our lives. Go easy on the partying and stuff, because the day of destruction will come stealthily and without warning.
Now note, he didn’t say not to enjoy the good things of this life, just not to overdo it. So we have to keep a watchful eye out at all times,
something we can’t do if we’re partying too heartily. And most importantly, we should always pray, so that when the day of reckoning comes
we’ll be considered worthy to stand before him. And judging by the way the world is quickly deteriorating, that day may arrive sooner rather
than later. So friends let’s watch and pray with all diligence.  Much LOVE!
