Job 23:10.
But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
Oh, how I wish that all of God’s people could say that with great assurance. But it’s not easy to do when the trials and tribulations of this world constantly drive us round the bend. Yes, it’s certainly hard to stay grounded in The Lord when everything and everybody is battering and clamouring at us for a piece of the action. Job, however, in the midst of all his calamity, stood strong. With his friends, turned detractors, insisting that he was hiding some serious evil deeds for God to have dealt so harshly with him, he simply stated that God knew what was in his heart and would find him not guilty of all the things his fellow man had accused him of. Friends, let’s see if we can follow in Job’s footsteps nuh…it’s not easy…J.C. said so, but a good Christian has to try and stand strong during times of adversity. May He fill us with His Holy Spirit and provide the wherewithal to do the job to which He has called us. Amen!
