Today’s Scrip-Bit 8 August 2007 Hosea 10:12

Hosea 10:12.
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness on you.

Yes People, the time has come to seek out our God. The old prophets kept using the sowing and reaping analogy because their people were farmers and that’s the terminology they best understood. Hosea was simply telling them that it was time to stop backsliding, and instead, start planting a crop of right living. Time to cut out the idleness, break up, plough the fallow ground that was just lying around untilled, producing nothing. By living that way, the Lord would bless them with a bountiful harvest of mercy.Thousands of years later, that advice is still appropriate; possibly even more so, since we are currently heading down the wide path to death and destruction at break neck speed, and if we don’t haul and pull up soon, then everything going crash eventually, and we’ll be left on the outside looking in. And I’m sure we don’t want that to happen now, do we? So please, please, friends, let’s start planting some righteous seed right now nuh, so that when the time come, we can reap a bountiful harvest of mercy from The Most High. Much LOVE and Happy Planting.
