Today’s Scrip-Bit 4 September 2007 I Thessalonians 3: 12.

1 Thessalonians 3: 12.    And the Lord make you to increase and abound in LOVE, one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you.

Well, finally, Labour Day weekend is over. That means the summer holiday season is also done. It’s back to school and work for many people, and as such, it’s also a good time to review our relationships: how we treat friends and family, co-workers, people in authority over us, as well as strangers. If you are a follower of J.C. then what Paul is telling the Thessalonians should not sound strange to you, it should already be working steadfastly in you, but since we are an imperfect being, we need to be reminded and our spirit renewed every so often. God is LOVE, and believers are supposed to show an abundance of that trait. Not the meaningless word that we carelessly bandy about every day, but a sincere showing of kindness, respect, patience, forgiveness and helpfulness. The attitude where we uplift each other, so that non-believers, as well as fellow believers, can see that we are truly about God’s business and become filled with the desire to share our joyous message and lifestyle. So Friends, let’s concentrate on LOVE today, and as Paul wished, may the Lord make you to increase and abound in it…towards everybody. Plenty, Plenty, Plenty LOVE.
