Psalm 55: 22. Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Truer words were never spoken! And I’m talking from experience. Not that I’m righteous, though I try to live right, but over the years, the Good Lord has certainly come through for me. In spite of many unwise decisions, when I should have been down for the count, through some fortunate, last minute, circumstances I’ve always bounced back. I was brought up in the church, but strayed during my early manhood, kept my heart decent though. Looking back now, I can definitely see His hand, His lovingkindness at work in my life. Many times I’ve been at my wit’s end, unable to solve my problems, and would end up with nervous stomach problems. And although He always bailed me out eventually, I wasn’t bright enough to figure it out. It’s only in the last fifteen years, since I started going back to church and raised my level of spirituality, that I realized there was no need to fret and worry, just do my part, then leave the rest to Him. He’ll work it out in His own time and fashion. Now there’s no more nervous stomach. I’ve finally learned to turn the problems over to Him and wait, sometimes impatiently, but wait nonetheless. The problem is that we don’t listen to Him. What can be more straightforward than bring your problems to me and I will help you. But to our simple minds that value complicated things, that seems too easy. But it is true my Friends. Whatever problems beset us, we can take them to our wonderful, magnanimous Creator and He will help us. Turn to Him today. Much LOVE!
