Today’s Scrip-Bit 2 November 2007 Ecclesiastes 3:1-2‏

Ecclesiastes 3:1-2.    To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven. A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted.

Truer words were never spoken, but we don’t realize it until we’ve matured and really understand how the universe operates. Many of us became familiar with this truth through the song;’Turn, Turn, Turn’ popularized by the English group, The Yard birds in the 60’s. That was the basis of the song; everything has its rightful place and time, and it’s something we should all pay more attention to since in this mad, rat race world we currently inhabit, too many of us try to do too much all at once. This problem is becoming even more serious since it’s evolved into the new hybrid way of working termed multi-tasking; where you’re doing several things at once. It’s been brought on by technological advances, which allows the powers that be greater opportunity to cut jobs and spread the same work out between fewer people, all in the unholy name of the bottom line. You never hear about less work. It’s always less jobs. Now some people can do it to a fair degree, while others simply can’t handle it. I’d like to offer, that the more things you try to do concurrently, the less attention you pay to each, and therefore none will be as good as if you focused on each of them separately. Hn, hn! I just had to laugh because when I started writing this, multi-tasking was nowhere in my thoughts. I don’t think I even knew what I wanted to write. I just knew that I wanted to deal with the season and time topic. But it seems that’s where the Most High is guiding me. Nowadays, you find people on the computer, their cell phone, watching t.v, all at the same time. If it’s just amusement and pleasure you’re after, then you might be able to do it with some degree of success, but for worthwhile stuff, where it can be a matter of life and death, or wealth and poverty, I doubt it; like talking on your cell phone, while driving on a busy highway and checking your hair and makeup in the mirror with the radio on at full blast and drinking your morning cup of java.. We’ve got to realize that on the larger scale, everything cannot happen at once. There’s a time to kill, a time to heal, a time to weep, to laugh and also to dance. You cannot have too many projects on the go at the same time without some of them suffering. I can tell you that from hard experience. Right now I’m working on several projects, but none is moving along at the rate I want because I just don’t have the time to focus on each one properly. And since I’ve begun this Scrip-Bit thing, they’ve each gotten even less time. A couple of them I haven’t even touched in months. Friends, I firmly believe that the only way to improve is to stay focused, with J.C being the main picture in our consciousness, and everything else radiating out from Him. That’s the only way we’ll reduce our stress and produce our best. So please remember that there’s a time and season for everything under the sun… for war, for peace, love, hate, winning and losing. That’s the way The Most High planned it. Although He could have made the world and all therein in a split second, He took a whole seven days. There must have been a good reason He chose to do it that way. Who are we to doubt His methodology eh? (smile). Mucho mucho LOVE!…and stay focused.
