1 Chronicles 29:10-13 Wherefore David blessed the Lord before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, Lord God of Israel, our father for ever and ever. Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thee, and praise thy glorious name.
‘Praise Him, Praise Him, Glory Hallelujah! He is LOVE! He is LOVE!’ Remember that old hymn? For some reason it just popped into my head today. Later on I realized why; the Most High wanted me to use it as the basis for Today’s Bit. And, as usually happens when I’m inspired, I easily found the scripture to present it. I was surprised though to find that they were Bruh David’s words. Shouldn’t have been, since only he could have penned such beautiful lines of praise.(smile) My plan had been to use only verses 12-13, but after reading the story, I knew 10 and 11 had to be included to make it complete. Here, Bruh David’s telling the people that Solomon would be their king after him. However, since he was still wet behind the ears, he would need their total help to build the Lord’s temple. Then he asked for donations and everyone gave generously. ‘Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly; because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord: and David the King, also rejoiced with great joy.’ I even had throw in Vs. 9 too. But it certainly seemed to be a wonderful occasion with everybody on the same page, and the Lord working positively in their hearts. How I wish we could have those types of occasions more often today, cause it’s only when we work together in harmony, that things turn out right. That’s the way the Lord wants us to live; in peace, LOVE and fellowship with Him and each other. The negative fussing and fighting that the enemy drives us to, only destroys relationships. I still can’t believe how the occasion went off so smoothly and joyously. Just imagine what a magnificent revolution would occur, if that same atmosphere permeated the congregations of our churches today nuh! Wow! With everybody on the same wave length, working together, giving willingly and generously from their hearts of their time and money. Brother! The enemy wouldn’t know what hit him. Friends, that’s my sincere wish and prayer for us today: To live and work in harmony on the Lord’s behalf. Please help me to make it come through, by each of us doing our little part, so that we can all rejoice in the sovereignty and majesty of our God, and like Bruh David say; ‘Now therefore our God, we thank thee, and praise thee, and praise thy glorious name.’ Much LOVE!…let’s work together…and pray together…so that we can praise Him together…
