Jeremiah 1:6-7 Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.
Ah Friends, our God is really the greatest yes! Why? Because He can play all the roles involved in a staging, and write it too. He can be serious; excels at timing; He’s humorous, and He’s the King of drama. Nobody can do that like Him. When He punishes us, we seldom feel the full force of His wrath, it’s always laced with mercy. And we certainly know about His forgiveness. Not to mention when He puts us in a tight spot, He always provides a way out. And when He calls us to do His bidding, like Jeremiah, He always provides the tools, the wherewithal, to accomplish it. Reminds me of when He first broached the Scrip-Bit idea. I laughed, figuring I didn’t have the Scriptural knowledge. But He wasn’t prepared to take no for an answer, and I finally succumbed to His wishes, and look at us now eh. It’s been over a year, and we’re still going strong. And don’t think it’s been my doing nuh. It’s been mostly His, for there’ve been many days I either don’t know what to write about, or struggled to write it, but in the end, He always comes through and I write something. It does take time, but it’s certainly brought me closer to Him, and given me a better understanding of what He’s about. Hopefully it’s done the same for some of you, my faithful readers. So Friends, if you feel like He’s called you to do something, to step out for Him, don’t be afraid, for like He did with Jeremiah and everyone that does His bidding, He’ll help you. If you’re doing what he wants, He won’t let you fail. Most likely it won’t be easy, but just step out in faith, that’s when He really excels. And don’t feel badly if you think you’re unworthy; lots of great men felt that way when they were called. Think about Moses, Barak, Gideon, Saul, Bruh David, Samuel, Solomon, and many more, who realized that they couldn’t do the job without His specific help. When Moses pleaded that he wasn’t eloquent and stuttered, the Lord shut him up by asking who made man’s mouth, the deaf, blind, dumb, etc. if it wasn’t Him? ‘Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.’ (Ex.4:12) It’s the same thing He said to Jeremiah, when he claimed inexperience. ‘Be not afraid of their faces, for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord. Then the Lord put forth his hand and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put words in thy mouth.’ (Jer.1:8-9) Wow! As easy as that Friends. And he’s done it for many others. That’s the kind of God we worship people; a God magnanimous and mighty. So don’t despair. Take a step of faith in His name today, for He greatly rewards those who trust in, and are obedient to Him. Much LOVE!…if He says do it…just trust and obey…He’ll surely help you…
