Psalm 15:1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
What a rather appropriate question for these trying times my Friends. Bruh David asks hard questions, but also answers them. What’s his response to this one; ‘Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in thy holy hill? The authoritative answer is; ‘He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.’ (vs.2) Oh Friends, right now, the enemy is at his rampaging best, like a mad bull…not a kite, you T&T’ans (smile) but the real thing, seeing red, and let loose in a china shop. The enemy’s agents are ensconced in the driver’s seat, and their forte seems to be destruction, not construction. They take pleasure in destroying what the righteous build. The current economic crisis, and the escalation of oppression, both worldwide, certainly could not be caused by those entitled to sojourn in God’s house, or even come close to His holy hill. There’s too much greed, deceit and lies in their hearts, and they’ve accumulated too much blood on their hands in their headlong grab for power. In Psalm 24, Bruh David again asks, ‘Who shall ascend unto the hill of the Lord? Or who shall stand in his holy place?’ (vs.3) The answer: ‘He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.’ (vs.4-5) That obviously means people, the majority of our leaders and the elite of our society shall never see God. What a crying shame! But the arrogance of those in cahoots with the enemy amazes me. Just tonight I heard that the banks the U.S government bailed out with billions of taxpayers money, were (1) not lending the money to jump-start the economy, like they were supposed to. (2) They couldn’t give account for most of it. (3) They didn’t intend to give account for it. (4) They were still intending to pay large bonuses to the same crooks that caused the economic damage in the first place with their fraudulent schemes. Now how does that make the ordinary man in the street feel eh? The one who’s worked his entire life at some low paying job(s), regularly paid his taxes, then after much struggle, finally buys a small house at exorbitant prices, listened to the financial gurus and invested his miniscule savings in the stock market of fraudulent dreams, then suddenly loses the low paying job(s), faces foreclosure on the now worth little house, and his savings gone up whoosh! into thin air. Not even smoke, but thin air. At least you can see the smoke. Then these same crooks are getting the little man’s hard earned tax dollars, $ 300 odd billion, to supposedly help bail out the economy, without any restrictions, regulations or accountability, while the same incompetent, crooked administration for a comparatively lousy, piddling $15-20 billion, tries to put all sorts of restrictions on the auto industry, which at least produces something tangible, and who’s top executives make no where close to what some of the junior people in the financial sector steal. I refuse to say make, because they don’t work for it. Then the media and the incompetent govt. publicly excoriate the auto people for coming to beg in their private jets, conveniently forgetting to mention the numerous private aircraft the financial and insurance sectors own. To pile arrogance upon arrogance, A.I.G, the Insurance company that got a rather large portion of the money so they could stay afloat, claims they still own 3 or 4 private jets and a helicopter, none of which they’re planning to get rid of. The lousy hypocrites! Then they wonder why there are riots in Greece and many other places around the world? Because the little man feels he’s been excessively advantaged, and that’s the only way he can retaliate, release all of his pent up frustration and anxiety. Hn! A friend who listens to some obscure pundit on the Internet, recently told me, this fellow says that riots will soon start happening here in N. America too. Oh people, for all our sakes, let’s hope and pray not. Things are already bad enough, senseless destruction and anarchy will solve nothing. But unless our leaders and the rich elite soon smarten up and understand the enormous groundswell of frustration and deception that’s building, it’s entirely possible. Oh Friends, I have to shake my head and chuckle at the direction the Lord sometimes leads me in these Bits. I guess I’m frustrated too. The banks in Canada aren’t doing their part either. They’ve received the taxpayer’s money and aren’t lending like they should either. The govt’s lowered the interest rates, but they refuse to pass on all of it. The Govt. had to tell them to buck up recently. At least we have more rules and regulations here. But you know whatever happens in the great U.S. of A affects us all to some degree, and they are our largest trading partner. Anyway, I never intended to get into an economic and political discourse, but the Good Book is what it says it is; a Good Book, filled with outstanding, uplifting rules for God’s children to live by. And it’s very obvious we’re not living by them. We’re following the fallen first angel, Lucifer, who couldn’t out duel God when he was an angel, what makes us think he can do it now that he’s a harbinger of death and destruction eh? Friends, it’s absolutely important that we don’t give up or cave in to the enemy and his cohorts. Individually, we might not make a worldwide difference, but if each of us tries our best in our own little corner, together we can make substantial change. Let’s therefore all seek to acquire, for ourselves and those around us, clean hands, for ‘he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.’ (Job 17:9) ‘I will wash my hands in innocency: so I will compass thine altar, O Lord.’ (Ps.26:6) To do that, we have to keep our souls from bowing to the vanities of this world, relinquishing things like avarice, jealousy, man made idols, deceit, and all the other temptations the enemy throws in our paths. That way Friends, we’ll develop a pure heart, which is absolutely necessary in God’s world. ‘Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.’ (Prov.4:23) And when we diligently look after our hearts people, we become as Jesus said: ‘Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.’ (Mat.5:8) Yes Friends, it’s not easy fighting upstream, against the flow of the roaring river, but it’s the only way we’ll ever be considered worthy to abide in the Lord’s tabernacle, or dwell on His holy hill. For ‘He that doeth these things shall not be moved.’ (Ps.15:5) Much LOVE!…sow good seeds…that you may reap a righteous and plentiful harvest…
