Psalm 12:6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Well hello there my beautiful Friends and fellow believers in Christ Jesus! I sincerely hope that today’s message finds you all in good health and by the time yuh finish reading it, your faith would have matured some, and your determination to stand strong, faithful, steadfast and true in Jesus’ Name, would also have increased, because that’s the whole purpose of the message; to help keep our focus on the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Bruh Paul would have been proud of that sentence. (smile) Anyway, in keeping with what we’ve just said, here’s a quote from Mother Teresa that speaks abundantly to every believer’s purpose on this earth. And it says: ‘Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier.’ Oh mih breddren, that’s a most fitting motto and an action that all of us can employ to help further the kingdom, for no one ever came to our Leader, Lord and Saviour Jesus seeking help and did not leave a better, happier person. Why? Because Jesus was the genuine article; simple, down to earth and caring, with no setta airs and graces, although He was certainly entitled. And Friends, that’s the kind of attitude we His followers need to show, to project to the world. We don’t have to put up with nonsense, because Jesus didn’t either, note how He ran the crooks and hypocrites out of the temple, His Father’s house, but we do have to put on genuine smiles and show truly caring attitudes, not the hypocritical smirks and glad-handing that so many of us do, while deep down in our hearts we’re feeling the exact opposite. Oh my people, please remember it’s the purity of our hearts that the Lord checks, not our words or outward actions, and the latter two can be of the greatest human value, if our hearts, our motives aren’t right, all our supposed good deeds won’t cut any mustard with the Most High, because to Him, good deeds ought to proceed from a good, right and true heart. Oh Friends, the ole fella in real Bruh Paulian form today with the long, convoluted sentences. (smile) But seriously Friends, if we want others; the ungodly, the unsaved, even fellow believers to truly accept our God, His Son Jesus, the Holy Spirit, their words, teachings, commandments and guidance, then we must be the genuine articles too, otherwise we’ll be doing our Lord and God a terrible disservice, making a mockery of all that He stands for. We’d also be making a disgusting lie of Bruh David’s statement: ‘The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried (tested, refined) in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.’ Now note, he didn’t just say that the Lord’s words are true as purified silver from an earthly furnace, but as an alloy purified seven times. That means after it’s been refined so often, there are absolutely no impurities in it. And truly, so is the Word of our God my people! It’s pure, through and through, no impurities whatsoever! However, by our less than stellar behaviour and attitudes, we can give others the wrong impression, making them feel that the Word is not only fickle and faithless, but even worse, untrue. Now that would amount to pure criminal behaviour on our part. And don’t for one second think that because we can possibly get away with it in the eyes of our fellow men, that we can do so with God. No Friends, definitely not! The Lord detests those who make a mockery of His Holy Word and eventually gives them their comeuppance. And you’d also be making liars of other men of great faith. Especially Bruh David, for he’s absolutely sure of the truth in God’s Word, so much so that His Song of Deliverance from his enemies, notably Saul, is found in 2 Samuel 22, as well as Psalm 18. The particular passage we’re interested in is: ‘As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried (proven): he is a buckler (shield) to all them that trust in him.’ (2 Sam.22:31; Ps.18:30) Yes my people, there is no word truer than the Lord’s. As Bruh David once more attests and assures us: ‘The law of the Lord is perfect, converting (restoring) the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.’ (Ps.19:7-8) Now Friends, we wouldn’t want to make a liar out of Bruh David now, would we? (smile) Neither of the writer of Psalm 119, who felt the same way when he declared: ‘Thy word is very pure (refined, tried): therefore thy servant LOVETH it.’ (Ps.119:140) Oh my people, can we make such a bold and assured claim, a truthful one to LOVING the Lord’s Word? I sure hope so, if we consider ourselves believers. And here’s another testament to the truth of God’s word from Agur, one of the contributors to the Book of Proverbs. ‘Every word of God is pure (tried and found to be true): he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.’ (Prov.30:5) But unfortunately my people, regardless of how tried, true, tested, refined and pure are the words of our God, they will be of no use, serve no useful purpose unless we spread them, and with the right attitude too. Please remember Jesus’ last directive to the disciples: ‘All power (authority) is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.’ (Mat.28:18-20) My people, that’s also our duty today, in our generation, and one we must pass on to the next, so that the Word never dies, but will last till eternity. Let’s get serious and perform our bounden duty nuh. The world is dying, both literally and figuratively, to hear the Word! Much LOVE!…the truth of God’s Word will be known…only as far as believers take it…and sincerely practice it…
