Today’s Scrip-Bit 15 November 2010 Proverbs 29:16‏

Proverbs 29:16.    When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall.

Oh Friends, unfortunately it’s Monday, meaning we have to go back out to slave amongst Beelzebub and his evil cohorts for our daily bread. But that’s good, because it grants us the outstanding opportunity to be a good witness for our wonderful God amongst the iniquity workers. So with that good news under our belt, (smile) let’s lustily and proudly proclaim our Monday Morning Battle Hymn. ‘Oh Lord God Almighty, Creator of the universe and all therein! We, your humble servants, praise your Holy Name and thank you that this Monday morning we have jobs to go to; jobs we don’t like, jobs that are unfair, difficult and even dangerous, but which serve a useful purpose here on earth; keeping lives and families together. We also thank you Father for the renewed vitality and enthusiasm you’ve wrought in our weary souls over the last two days. It’s that rejuvenation of Spirit which allows us now to sally forth with confidence into the evil, ungodly world that surrounds us, to begin a new week of work, constantly buffeted and bombarded by the enemy’s wicked taunts, wiles and lies. But heavenly Father, we’re not afraid, for we know we’re invincible, sure conquerors, once we’re wearing your powerful, protective spiritual armour. We surrender our all to you, and humbly ask that you let your aura of LOVE, the Holy Spirit, lead and guide all your servants as we go out to meet the enemy in battle. Fill us with steadfast faith, so that we can make worthwhile inroads into the enemy’s ranks, and thereby further your glorious kingdom. We pray this in the Holy Name of your Son, and our Saviour, Jesus Christ. AMEN!’ Oh my people, please let that prayer empower and embolden us to step sprightly into enemy territory and accost the evildoers with LOVE; a la Jesus, because that’s the only way this battle will be truly won, and the fighting thoroughly ended, for if we fight fire with fire, we will all be destroyed. Yuh know, in looking for a Bit tonight, I passed over a few that seemed worthwhile, but this one struck the right chord in my spirit, and I now realize why. ‘When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall.’ The Bit just ties in nicely to our Monday morning return to work amongst the great mass of transgressors out there. And it’s so true, it isn’t funny, for when the number of evildoers increase, so too does their evil doing. Just look at the last fifty years in our society’s history, and we’ll see that truth prevail. Fifty years ago there weren’t as many evildoers as there are now, and consequently our society was not as sinful. Hn! But with the rapid and tremendous increase in wrongdoers, sin has also rapidly multiplied, until now it’s coloured not only our society, but the entire world; turning us in to one of the most sinful and ungodly generations to ever walk Mother Earth. But fear not my Friends, for as our Bit rightly states: ‘but the righteous shall see their fall.’ And all God’s people joyously trilled: ‘Glory Hallelujah!’ Yes Friends, if we stand strong and steadfast in faith, the Lord will eventually destroy the wicked. And hopefully there won’t be too many, since through our diligent LOVING and righteous efforts, we would have already brought most of them to redemption through faith in Jesus Christ. Wow mih people! What a day that will be eh! Now let’s check out some scripture that backs up all our contention. We’ll begin with Psalm 37, where Bruh David tells us about the true state of the wicked. ‘Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices (schemes) to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise (way) to do evil (it only causes harm). For evildoers shall be cut off (destroyed): but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.’ (Ps.37:7-9) Truly words of wisdom my Friends! Do not be worried or angry over the works of the wicked, even when they seem to be prospering in their wickedness, for their prosperity will be short-lived, and the righteous will benefit from their sad demise at the Lord’s hands. Hear some more appropriate words from Psalm 37: ‘The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. The Lord will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged. Wait on the Lord and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.’ (Psalm 37:32-34) And isn’t that gospel my brethren! The wicked lurks in wait for any opportunity to do the righteous harm, but our great and wonderful God will not allow it to happen. If we stay in faith, we will eventually be exalted when the Lord destroys the evildoers. Now listen to some profound words from that man of great faith, the prophet Isaiah, from the song of praise by the redeemed. That’s us my people! Praise the Lord! ‘And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.’ (Is.25:9) Oh folks, what a day of glory that shall be! However Friends, if we want to see that joyful day, then we have to do like Bruh David advises in Psalm 27, ‘The Lord is my light and my salvation.’ We must: ‘Wait (in faith) on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.’ (Ps.27:14) Yes Friends, that’s the secret to a successful, righteous life! So mih people, now that we have on the spiritual armour and the adrenalin’s a pumping, let’s go out into the evil world and give Lucifer and his wicked cronies’ heck! Show them the sterner stuff that true believers are made of! Till tomorrow then, when we’ll talk again, God in favour, walk safely and steadfastly with Him. Much LOVE!…as we are faithful to Him…so will the Lord God Jehovah be faithful to us…
