Psalm 84:4. Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee.
Oh Friends, another day of blessings, mercy, forgiveness, grace and LOVING-kindness are coming down the pike to us from our most wonderful, Creator, God and Father! Wow! And all God’s people declared in grateful appreciation: ‘Oh thank you Father God for taking such good care of us! We bless you and praise your Holy Name!’ Now we obviously don’t always get what we want, or when we want it, but when we do our part and depend on the Lord to do His, then we are well taken care of. The Lord often blesses us even more abundantly than we ask or think. (Eph.3:20) So when people loose faith and say they’ve been waiting without results on the Lord for this or that, it’s either they’ve asked for the wrong thing, which doesn’t jive with God’s law, as James says: ‘Ye ask and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts (pleasures), (James 4:3) or they just aren’t ready for it. But if we ask in faith, with right heart and motive, then wait patiently, the Lord will most certainly come through in His own time. That’s the catch there; it’s the Lord’s will and time we must honour, not our own. And that’s why our Bit is so important: ‘Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.’ Nowadays nobody really lives at the Lord’s house, as happened in the past, but the more we go there, the more we will praise and worship Him, which is never a bad thing. In Psalm 4, an evening prayer of trust in God, Bruh David solemnly proclaims: ‘But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the Lord will hear when I call unto him.’ (Ps.4:3) Bruh Paul also declared: ‘Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.’ (2 Tim.2:19) Yes Friends, Jesus knows those that belong to Him, as He so eloquently says: ‘I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.’ (John 10:14) So if we keep on praising and worshipping Him and consistently journey to His house, despite our feelings or other problems we may encounter, He will definitely take good care of us. Bruh David righteously declared God’s concern for us on at least two other occasions. In Psalm 36, talking about the steadfast LOVE of God, he says: ‘How excellent (precious) is thy LOVING-kindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness (fullness) of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.’ (Ps.36:7-9) Then again, in Psalm 63, writing about God satisfying the thirsting soul, when he was adrift in the wilderness of Judah, he emphatically proclaims: ‘Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow (the best) and fatness (abundance); and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips. When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.’ (Ps.63:4-7) Another psalmist in praise to the Lord for His creation, also weighed in on the subject. ‘The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.’ (Ps.33:12) Unfortunately, these days no nation seems to truly have the Lord God Jehovah as their de facto God, only in name, that’s why they are all in endless turmoil. But Friends, a nation is made up of individuals first and foremost, and if we all work together for good in God’s name, then we truly can develop into a nation whose God is truly the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. My people, it’s the only way to get our out of sync world back on the right track and thus avoid total destruction as promised to iniquity workers. For our children’s sake, let’s do it nuh. Much LOVE!…a pilgrimage to God’s house…is always a good thing…cause it usually ends up in praise and worship…peace and contentment…
