Today’s Scrip-Bit 20 June 2026 John 4:24.
John 4:24. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
And then it was Saturday, our lazy-day Saturday, where many of us have the wonderful opportunity to just lie in bed, or get up and laze around the house, or simply park on the comfortable couch and watch soccer all day long. (smile) Now that’s what you call a lazy-day Saturday! And by the way, the wind is still blowing out there; possibly not as strong as it was the past two days, but certainly blowing stronger than normal. Yesterday afternoon I went to collect the mail, and if I had not held on tightly to the bag filled with mail, the wind would have blown it out of my hands, that’s to show how strong it was. But if you don’t have to go out, then there’s no need to worry about the wind.
However, before we allow the laziness to take over, let’s offer up our Lazy-Day Saturday Prayer in all sincerity and truth. As one strong voice. ‘Lord, I want to be with You now. Please slow my thoughts and quiet my soul. Let my muscles relax, my breath deepen. You are here with me – Your peace and LOVE are present. I marvel to think You can’t be contained, that Your LOVE both surrounds and fills me. Thank You for this tenderness, Lord. I praise You for Your unceasing nearness. Increase my awareness of You today, that I may know You all the more. Amen!’
And friends, if our prayer was indeed filled with sincerity and truth, then our souls will soon be enjoying a bit of incomparable peace and calm from our heavenly Father. That reminds us of what Jesus said to the Samaritan woman at the well of Jacob, when she referred to her ancestors worshipping on that mountain where they were seated, while the Jews said that worship ought to be done in Jerusalem. (John 4:19-20)
But Jesus turned everything upside down, when he informed her: ‘Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain (Mt. Gerizim), nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.’ (John 4:21-24)
Yes friends, Jesus turned things around with His new covenant. And what we need to notice is that Jesus said not only the hour would come, but it had actually come with His presence here on earth. It’s as this overview tells us: ‘That beautiful realization gets to the very heart of the message Jesus shared with the Samaritan woman at the well. It marks a shift from focusing on where people worship (like a specific mountain or a building) to how and why people worship. The Father is actively seeking those whose adoration is genuine and rooted in His nature.
This call involves two primary elements: In Spirit: This means worship that originates from the deepest parts of your inner self—the heart. It is about offering sincere, authentic devotion that goes far beyond outward rituals, empty traditions, or simply going through the motions. In Truth: This involves worshipping God for who He truly is, as revealed through His Word. It requires honesty, integrity, and aligning your life with His reality, rather than a man-made or customized version of who you want Him to be.’
Ah mih people, that’s where the problem arises; too many of us supposed Christians are not truly sincere in our adoration and worship of God, for our adoration is not authentic, merely skin deep, not heart deep; thus we’re simply going through the motions when we claim to worship Almighty God. And we also have too many outward rituals and empty traditions that detract from the sincerity of our worship. Remember in spirit and in truth means from deep down in our hearts, and if our hearts are not completely involved then we’re missing the mark. That also means we’re not being honest with God or ourselves, and therefore not aligning ourselves with His will, but with our own.
It’s like Bruh Paul wrote to the Philippians. ‘Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision (mutilation). For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.’ (Phil. 3:2-3)
And what does all of that mean? Bruh Paul was talking about that group of Jewish Christians, (Judaizers), who preached that it was necessary for new believers to be physically circumcised, according to the custom of Moses. Bruh Paul called them dogs because real dogs were despised and considered useless scavenging animals, and these Judaizers were causing a lot of problems in the early church, with their persuasive belief that circumcision was necessary for salvation.
However, true circumcision was no longer the cutting or mutilating of flesh, but the turning around of the heart. It was now the heart that needed to be circumcised for salvation to be received. And according to the scholars: ‘But the true “circumcision” consists of those circumcised of heart, not of body, recognizing the ritual to have been abrogated (abolished, repealed) by Christ. Circumcision of the body no longer had spiritual value and significance.’
That’s why Bruh Paul claims that those of the true circumcision now worship God in the spirit. And per the scholars: ‘Their worship of God is prompted, directed, and enabled by the Holy Spirit.’ And those who are true believers also rejoice in Christ. that is we don’t boast on ourselves but in Christ Jesus, placing all our pride and joy in Him. And as per have no confidence in the flesh. The scholars tell us that “Flesh” here means one’s earthly privileges, human attainments, and religious accomplishments. God’s people refuse to depend on such things for their salvation; instead, they rely upon Christ to obtain favour with God.’
And that’s the way it ought to be my fellow believers. Christ is our pathway to Almighty God. Remember when Jesus told the disciples that He was going away, and they knew how and where. (John 14:4) And ‘Thomas saith unto him, ‘Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.’ (John 14:5-6)
That says it all my faithful brethren: ‘Jesus is the exclusive path to God, the ultimate reality of truth, and the source of eternal life.’ Let’s remember that as we do whatever we do, or don’t do, on this lazy-day Saturday, because it’s probably the most important thing we need to remember in this earthly life. Much LOVE!
…unless the Spirit of God is working in all you do…you’re not sincerely working with God…

Today’s Scrip-Bit 13 June 2026 Psalm 37:4.
Psalm 37:4. ‘Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.’
And so we come to Saturday; our lazy-day Saturday. And would you believe the ole fella did not laze around today…well not much. But I’ve been up and about fairly early, although I went to bed pretty late. I’ve even been out the street to fix my glasses. And despite all of that, we’re on an early bus today! Praise the Lord! (smile) So let’s get the ball rolling by offering up our Lazy-Day Saturday Prayer, with all sincerity and truth.
As one strong and earnest voice: ‘Lord, I want to be with You now. Amen!’
And if our prayer was sincere and heartfelt, then the Lord will soon be responding with a big slice of the peace of God, which passes all understanding, to guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4:7) Now isn’t that a wonderful Saturday morning present, as you laze around the house doing little if anything, basically resting after a hard week of stressful work?
Of course! We could not want for anything better than a big slice of God’s peace and calm to ease our weary souls and renew, or better yet, improve our intimacy with Him. Oh my people, truly getting close to our great and wonderful God is the most important and delightful thing we’ll ever do, because there are so many wonderful rewards to that, as Bruh David says so well in Psalm 37. ‘Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.’ (Ps. 37:4)
And I like how this overview explains it: ‘”Delight yourself in the Lord” is a timeless invitation from Psalm 37:4 to find your ultimate joy, peace, and contentment in Him rather than in worldly circumstances.’ And that’s the gospel truth my brethren! When we concentrate on God’s will and purpose for our lives, we’re filled with a sense of wonder and astonishment at some of the things He will do for us.
And the overview breaks it down thus: ‘This beautiful phrase from King David carries a deep, two-fold meaning for your daily life: Finding Ultimate Joy: It means to make God the absolute delight and pleasure of your life. Instead of viewing faith as a list of strict rules, it’s about actively savoring God’s presence, goodness, and LOVE. Aligning Your Desires: The second half of the verse promises, “and he will give you the desires of your heart”. This doesn’t mean He acts like a genie granting every fleeting wish. Rather, as you grow closer to Him, your heart becomes so aligned with His will that your desires naturally transform to match what He wants for you.’
That’s why we keep urging and imploring us re finding greater intimacy with God. For that’s when we truly come alive, when our Christian faith truly becomes what it ought to be. And how do we do that in actual practice? Hear what the overview advises. ‘Spend Time with Him: Just like any relationship, delighting in God takes time. You can draw near to Him through prayer, reflecting on scripture, or simply being still in His presence. Trust and Let Go: The passage begins by urging believers not to fret over the wicked or worry about things outside their control. Delighting in God means trusting that He knows what is best for you and will provide for your needs.’
And yuh know that’s really all the Bible is about: having sufficient faith to put our sincere and total trust in Almighty God because we know, are convinced that He knows what’s best for us, and if we sincerely accept His will, then He will ensure we’re well taken care of. Look at the many scriptures that tell us that nuh. Jesus said it thus: ‘Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.’ (Matt. 6:33) Then Bruh Paul says to the Philippians: ‘But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory.’ (Phil. 4:19)
And no one puts it more beautifully than Bruh David in Psalm 23: ‘The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen!’ (Ps. 23:1-6)
Wow! No wonder that psalm is the most beloved in the Bible, because it lays out what the Lord can do for us in the likeness of a shepherd. And no one could do that better than Bruh David, because remember he began life as a lowly shepherd boy, before the Lord thrust him into greatness. So he knows perfectly what it’s like being a shepherd and the responsibilities it brings. That’s why the saying, you can’t write about what you don’t know about is oh so true. And also why the Lord puts us through our paces, so we can have personal testimony of what we talk about.
And in closing, all I can ask is that we wake up, because so many of us supposed believers are still asleep at the wheel, and in these crucial times, we desperately need to wake up and get wise and do as Bruh David so urgently beseeches: ‘Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.’ Ps. (37:4) Much LOVE!
…getting closer to God…growing intimacy with Him…ought to be the heartfelt desire of every believer…

Today’s Scrip-Bit 6 June 2026 Hebrews 12:2a.
Hebrews 12:2a. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher (originator and perfector) of our faith;
Now, after a hot, humid and sunny Friday with 30 degree temps, then some overnight rain, we come to a Saturday that had opened as a somewhat cloudy day, but by midday it’s showing some sunny features and a rather brisk wind. Hopefully we won’t get another hot and humid day like yesterday, for although the heat is welcome, too much of it is not good for anyone.
That brings us to our Lazy-Day Saturday Prayer. So, with sincere and heartfelt voices: ‘Lord, I want to be with You now. Amen!’
And it’s so great to know that our Lord never refuses sincere, heartfelt pleas for greater intimacy with Him. No! Never! In fact it warms the very cockles of His heart that His human creation desires more time and closer ties with Him, because that’s one of the main reasons He initially created us. So, if your plea for greater intimacy with our heavenly Father was sincere, then you should soon be feeling that wonderful calming presence of His peace and LOVE flooding your soul.
And since God was good and graceful enough to grant us another day of life on this earth, let’s keep our promise and continue looking at the scriptures about keeping our faith strong and enduring to the very end. We stopped yesterday where the author of Hebrews told us to get rid of all our extra baggage and develop a strong constitution that would enable us to run our race of faith. But then he continues: ‘Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher (originator and perfector) of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.’ (Heb. 12:2)
And isn’t that a glorious piece of encouragement and wise direction! We must look to Jesus as our example of running the faith race, for He began it, He was the trailblazer, the first person to run that course, and He’s already successfully completed it. So there could be no better example than Jesus for us to follow. And it was not easy for Him, just like us, He had to get rid of any baggage that was keeping Him back, and also develop stamina and endurance to handle all the many things that would come against Him in His faith journey. But He did it, with the help of His heavenly Father, and so can we.
So let’s look at that verse of scripture again, which tells us, ‘who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame…’ That means the race of faith He was expected to run had some wonderful reward(s) at the end; rewards with such motivational power, that it allowed Him to endure the shame and terrible affliction of the cross. And so it did, because at the end of it, the author tells us that now Jesus ‘is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.’
Wow! That certainly would have motivated Jesus to do His Father’s tough bidding. But that’s not all He received. Listen to how Bruh Paul explains it to the Philippians. ‘Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant (emptied himself of his privileges), and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion (appearance) as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every other name. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of (those) things in heaven, and (those) things in earth, and (those) things under the earth: And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.’ (Phil. 2:5-11)
Mama Mia! What a wonderful exaltation! Yuh see mih bredrin how the Lord exalted Jesus so highly for doing His tough and physically painful bidding. It’s the same way He will exalt us if we sincerely follow Christ and endure all the trials and tribulations that come against us with as much obedience and endurance as we can muster. Just look at how Jesus gave up His wonderful heavenly position to come to earth, to be made like a human being and endure all the physical, emotional and spiritual hardship that was to be His lot.
But He never complained, because He knew the great reason behind the Father’s bidding, which was the payment for and eventual forgiveness of our sins, along with reconciliation back into the Father’s fold. Now, obviously Jesus had some parts and powers that we don’t have, but that doesn’t excuse us from following in His footsteps to the best of our ability, in terms of obedience, endurance and a positive faith journey, for the rewards of salvation and eternal life with the Holy Trinity is most definitely worth the trials and tribulations we need to put up with in this comparatively short earthly life.
So let’s rise up and sincerely follow Jesus nuh, not making the shame and whatever else that comes against us in so doing discourage us. As the author of Hebrews so wisely says: ‘For consider him that endured such contradiction (hostility) of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint (become discouraged) in your minds (souls).’ (Heb. 12:3) Yes my fellow believers, when we encounter difficulties and problems, let’s think about how Jesus handled them with the awesome help of His Father, and be encouraged that He gave us the Holy Spirit to help us handle our own troubles. And that’s something worthwhile pondering on this lazy day Saturday. (smile) Much LOVE!
…to run a faith race for Jesus…one must look to Jesus as the best example to follow…

Today’s Scrip-Bit 30 May 2026 James 4:4a.
James 4:4a. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of (with) the world is enmity with God?
And then it was Saturday, sunny and warm; our lazy-day Saturday, where we can do exactly as our li’l ole hearts desire, with no one to say us nay! (smile) And doesn’t it feel good! No bosses telling you what to do, as well as constantly looking over your shoulder to see if you’re actually working or simply wasting time. I wish every day could be like this one. That’s why they say that if wishes were horses, all beggars would ride. (smile) And would you believe that it’s already the last day of May, a month that just recently began? (smile) The year is surely slipping by quickly, so we had better perk up and do what needs to be done, before it’s too late.
And before I forget, let me apologize for my mistake in yesterday’s Bit, where I talked about declaring our Thursday Blessings, when it was Friday, and then rightly declared our Friday Chant instead. And was I ever annoyed when I discovered it, and though I fixed it in the Blog and the Podcast, it was too late to fix it in the original Bit I sent out.
And the only logical reason I can find for that contradiction is my having taken a tablet for my sinuses, which were acting up, and it making me feel somewhat drowsy and lethargic, and thus the ole mind not functioning properly. And what amazes me is that I read it over at least three times before I sent it out, and still never saw the mistake. Anyhow, please forgive me for that error, and I hope it never happens again. But since I’m only human, who knows? (smile)
Now, let’s offer up our Lazy-Day Saturday Prayer, in all sincerity and truth. As one strong voice: ‘Lord, I want to be with You now. Amen!’
And if our prayer was sincere and heartfelt, then the warmth and peace of God will soon flow into our hearts and souls and calm them so that we can handle the evil and ungodly world that surrounds us. Yes! The Lord God, never refuses a call for intimacy from His human creations. In fact, that’s one of the reasons He created us in the first place. Why do you think He sent His only Son Jesus to earth to die and thus give us the option of forgiveness and salvation, of being reconciled to Him, and thus returning to His wonderful fold?
Because He desired greater intimacy with us, and His heart ached badly, when He saw so many of us had turned away from Him, and embraced Satan and his foolish worldly pleasures. Yes friends, our God was suffering from the heartfelt pangs of unrequited LOVE! And many of us know, either from personal experience or the experience of someone close to us, how devastating unrequited LOVE can be to the human psyche. Ofttimes making one desire death instead of life. And so, we have some idea of how God felt when so many of His wonderful human creation had moved into the enemy’s camp, intent on enjoying the carnal lusts and pleasures that he advertised and revelled in.
But remember what Bruh Paul wrote to the Romans: ‘For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.’ (Rom. 8:6-8) That means if you’re cavorting with Satan, then you’re God’s enemy. And James tells it like it is, when he declares: ‘Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of (with) the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be (wants to be) a friend of the world is the enemy of God.’ (James 4:4)
It could not get any clearer than that my brethren! If we desire to hob nob with the world, then we become God’s enemy, and is set down for eternal separation from Him. And He could not take the heartache of so many of us being eternally separated from Him, so he made a way for us to turn around and come back to Him. Remember, He is the one who can make a way where there seems to be no way. As He promises in Isaiah. ‘Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.’ (Is. 43:19)
Ah mih people, only our omnipotent God could have designed a way for us to turn from enemies to friends, to sons and daughters. As Bruh Paul wrote to the Colossians, when talking about Christ, the Hope of Glory. ‘And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled; In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreprovable in his sight:’ (Col. 1:21-22) And the scholars explain: ‘Reconciliation is the act whereby God through Christ’s atonement, brings men who are at odds with Him back into a peaceful, proper relationship with Himself. Jesus’ death is the divine means of achieving reconciliation to God.’
So you see friends, this whole reconciliation business stems from God’s great LOVE for us, and His desire not to lose any of us to the evil enemy. And it only makes sense, that true wisdom dictates living for God rather than for Satan, for Satan’s ultimate end is total destruction or eternal death, while God’s is eternal life.
And as John so rightly warns us in his first epistle. ‘LOVE not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man LOVE the world, the LOVE of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh (physical desires), and the lust of the eyes (personal desires), and the pride of life (self-interests), is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever.’ (1 John 2:15-17)
Oh my people, what a most appropriate scripture for us to ponder on this lazy-day Saturday, the last day of May, where our world is going nuts with all the evil and ungodliness that it’s currently filled with. Much LOVE!
make up your mind…you’re either in God’s camp or Satan’s…you can’t ride the fence…

Luke 15:24. For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
And it’s our lazy-day Saturday! Yes, the day when we can do as we please. And after a foggy and rainy night, the sun has dispersed the fog and is now shining brightly in double figures. And that’s above freezing, not below (smile) around 12 Celsius on the plus scale. Wow! What freaky weather conditions; cold one minute, then warm the next. But we’ll take the warm days anytime. And by the way, I heard birds singing outside this morning, so that means spring might just be in the air. And it could not come quickly enough, because this has been a tough winter.
But that’s the life these days, for climate change is disrupting all the well laid systems of God, and we just have to put up with it as best we can. But that’s no problem, for we are children of the Most High God Jehovah, imbued with His Holy Spirit, and we can do anything through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, who strengthens us and enables us to live the abundant life He died for us to have. End of Sermon! (smile)
Now let’s offer up our Lazy-Day Saturday Prayer, with all sincerity and truth. As one strong voice: ‘Lord, I want to be with You now. Amen!’
And as always, if our prayer was sincere and heartfelt, we’ll soon be experiencing the calm and peace of God in our souls and bodies, for God always grants sincere requests to be intimate with Him. And we’ll see one of those moments as we continue looking at the parable of the lost son. So, as this lost son had spent all his money in riotous living, when a serious famine hit the land, he ended up hungry and feeding swine because no one gave him anything.
But the Bible tells us: ‘And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, And am no more (no longer) worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.’ (Luke 15:17-19) Oh friends, that’s what happens when we wake up, when we come to our senses and realize that we cannot navigate this evil and ungodly world alone, we need God’s help, through Christ Jesus to help us do so successfully.
The Bible continues: ‘And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.’ (Luke 15:20) Now that’s as Jesus says, what happens when one sinner repents, when one lost son finds his way back home, there is joy in heaven. The father doesn’t’ berate him or say anything negative, just runs and hugs and kisses him.
‘And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more (no longer) worthy to be called thy son. But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes (sandals) on his feet. And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat and be merry: For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.’ (Luke 15:21-24) That’s the kind of partying that goes on in heaven friends, when we sincerely turn to Jesus!
However, there’s always someone or something that likes to put a burr in our saddle and spoil things. The Bible tells us: ‘Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing. And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant. And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound. And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated (begged) him.
And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid (young goat), that I might make merry with my friends: But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living (livelihood) with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf. And he (the father) said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. It was meet (right) that we should make merry, and be glad: for thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.’ (Luke 15:25-32)
Yes, there’s always a jealous or greedy somebody, who’s only interest is in making selfish comparisons. But the Lord doesn’t allow them to curtail His joy when His lost or dead sons and daughters come back to His fold. No way! He rejoices. Yes, he calls all the angels and throws a big party when even one of His children has seen the light and followed it back to Him! And that’s how we ought to be my people; glad for those who conquer whatever they’re fighting and return to faith, not being angry and casting aspersions on their recent behaviour.
And I do hope those parables about the lost sheep, coin and son, make a such a noteworthy impact on us, that we now understand Jesus’ purpose for telling them, and we can move forward with the right attitude. And there’s no better time to do it than on this first lazy-day Saturday in March, when spring seems to be in the air. Remember, it’s all for our benefit, not God’s! Much LOVE!
…forgiveness is a gift…and if you want to receive it…then you must learn to give it…

Romans 13:12. ‘The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.’
And then it was our lazy-day Saturday; a bright, sunshiny but somewhat chilly day in my neighbourhood! Yes friends, it’s the day when we can do as we wish; no work to go to, and hopefully no set of household chores or grocery shopping to do, simply lazing around the old homestead if we so desire. (smile) It’s also the last day of February. Can you imagine two months of the year are already over, when it just feels like yesterday we were partying to ring in the new year.
Yes, the days of these last years seem to be flying away faster than ever, that’s why we’ve got to get up and get ourselves in order, for who knows what’s going to happen. Anything is possible, so it’s time to get ready. As Bruh Paul says in his letter to the Corinthians, it’s time to wake up, Jesus is coming back soon – possibly sooner than we think, and in the meanwhile darkness is overtaking the land like a stormy black cloud. And talking about darkness overtaking the land, I just heard that the U.S and Israel have made a warlike strike against Iran!
Ah Lord eh! I don’t even want to contemplate the additional suffering that’s going to emanate from that action, and resonate all around the world. When is it going to end? Everyday another theatre of strife seems to be opening up while none of the existing ones are being closed with peace. So friends, it’s becoming even more urgent for us to get up, since ‘The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.’ (Rom. 13:12)
And sadly, there’s not much the ordinary man can do to stem the abuse of power happening in high places, but we can pray, and do whatever we can in our own area to improve matters there. And talking of prayer, let’s offer up our Lazy-Day Saturday Prayer, so that we can find peace in our own souls. As one strong and sincere voice: ‘Lord, I want to be with You now. Amen!’
And if our prayer was sincere, it’s only a matter of time before we feel that wonderful peace that our finite minds can’t comprehend flowing through our souls and bodies, for the Lord, our wonderful God, does not refuse a heartfelt plea for greater intimacy with Him, since that was one of the reasons He created us in the first place. And unfortunately, that is why so many of us live miserable lives; we refuse to get intimate with our Creator. Consequently many of us therefore keep Him on the sidelines of our lives instead of the Beacon of Light we ought to be confidently and eagerly looking up to.
That’s why Jesus firmly and resolutely declared in the Sermon on the Mount: ‘But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.’ (Matt. 6:33) For when we put God first place in our lives, we don’t lack anything we truly need. That’s why Bruh David also made the resolute, unshakeable statement: ‘The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.’ (Ps.23:1) He was convinced that if he kept his eyes steadfastly fixed on his God, then all would eventually turn out well for him. And that was his experience for most of his life, except when he messed it up through his adulterous affair with Bathsheba, and the subsequent murder of her husband Uriah.
And so it is that many of us bring problems on ourselves when we don’t follow the Lord’s bidding, or His guidelines, and instead do our own thing. Doing our own thing without God’s presence or influence is like a boomerang; when we throw it, it eventually comes back to haunt us in more difficult and perverse ways than we ever imagined. Remember, there are consequences for every action, and bad actions can bring very terrible, lifelong, life altering consequences. That’s why Uncle Charles (Dr, Charles Stanley) always warned us to obey God and leave all the consequences to Him.
Yes, obeying God is the number one requirement of a Christian’s life, and if we don’t, then there’s no one else to blame but ourselves, when we suffer the consequences of our disobedience. Remember, God LOVES us, but He will not allow us to get away with things like pride, rebellion and disobedience. As the author of Hebrews reminds us: ‘For whom the Lord LOVETH he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.’ (Heb. 12:6) Yes my fellow believers, whom the Lord LOVES, He disciplines! There’s no getting away from it. So we might as well make up our minds to take our discipline with a smile, because it’s going to come sooner or later, when we run afoul of God’s desires.
And living a godly life in this evil and ungodly world is not easy. The Lord knows that, but at the same time, He desires us to make a better effort than many of us are currently making. It’s all about effort, about our trying. Too many of us are wrapped up in the things of the world, ofttimes living like the world from Monday to Saturday, then trying to put on a godly appearance at church on Sundays. Remember we can fool our fellow believers, but we cannot fool God, for He sees us exactly as we are.
So, as we said earlier, it’s high time we wake up and smell the stench in our world, and do whatever we can to reduce it. For come the judgement day, when the Lord asks us what we did to help the kingdom here on earth, we will have to speak the truth, and we cannot afford to say, ‘I did nothing Lord.’ For there will be consequences; not hellfire and damnation, but loss of otherwise glorious rewards. And who wants to lose heavenly rewards eh? I’m sure none of us do. So please, let’s spend some time on this lazy-day Saturday at the end of February, pondering what we can do to enhance God’s kingdom here on earth. It will surely pay big dividends in the long run! Much LOVE!
…one cannot be a true Christian…and live in constant disobedience to Almighty God…

1 Corinthians 13:13. And now abideth faith, hope, charity (LOVE), these three; but the greatest of these three is charity (LOVE).
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!
And then it was Saturday; our lazy-day Saturday, but unfortunately we don’t get to do too much lazing around today, because it’s also Valentine’s Day, that day we shower so much LOVE and adoration on those around us, with gifts of flowers, chocolates, etc. etc. And nothing’s wrong with that, although we ought to show LOVE more regularly, like on a daily basis, for LOVE is what truly makes the world go round!
The other, more important question though, is are we showing enough LOVE to our wonderful God? And I very much doubt it, otherwise our world would not be so angry and filled with so much strife, neither would be living like leggo-beasts in a jungle-styled society. So let’s address that last question to some small extent by offering up our Lazy-Day Saturday Prayer, with all sincerity and truth.
As one strong voice: ‘Lord, I want to be with You now. Amen!’
Now, although many of us have been guilty of not showing enough LOVE and adoration to God, if our hearts were sincere in what we just prayed, then the Lord will soon fill us with that sense of peace and calm, one we cannot truly understand, but which we so desperately need in these anxious and confused times, to keep us on the straight and narrow path.
And since today is a day for showing LOVE, I guess we ought to consider some famous scriptures on that wonderful emotion. (smile) And I believe this one should always be first, because it’s what started the whole ball of salvation rolling. As Bruh Paul writes to the church at Rome: ‘But God commendeth (demonstrated) his (own) LOVE toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.’ (Rom. 5:8)
Yes friends, after creating us in and for LOVE, and we spoiled it all by rebelling in sin, the Lord nonetheless LOVED us so much, that without batting an eyelash, (smile) He initiated a plan to bring us back to Him. A plan that had nothing to do with us, but all with His great LOVE and affection for us. And as I keep asking, which supposed god is great enough and confident enough in themselves to do such a thing eh? And the undeniable truth is that none can, except Jehovah God, who has the will, the power and confidence to put such an ingenious plan into action!
And the next scripture is an obvious one; Jesus Himself talking about God’s LOVE, as He says with all certainty to Nicodemus: ‘For God so LOVED the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16) Now let’s stop here for a moment and consider that scripture. God’s LOVE for His sinful and rebellious creation was so great, that He gave His only Son to be a sacrifice for them!
Wow! What a powerful LOVE that must have been…and still is! How many of us though have that kind of LOVE for anyone that we would die for them? Not too many! How did Bruh Paul put it before the quote about God demonstrated His Love? ‘For when we were yet without strength (sinful), in due time (at the right time) Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure (perhaps) for a good man some would even dare to die.’ (Rom. 5:6-7) So, for all intents and purposes, what God, through Christ did, was, and is still highly unlikely to be done by many others.
Then there’s this most important scripture passage on LOVE, again from Jesus, when the Jewish lawyer trying to draw Him into an argument, asked? ‘Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt LOVE the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt LOVE thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.’ (Matt. 22:36-40)
There again, we se that LOVE is the fulcrum upon which everything ought to turn: LOVING God, then LOVING our neighbours as we LOVE ourselves. Unfortunately though, many of us hate ourselves, so it doesn’t look so good for some of our neighbours. (smile) And there is no scripture that points out the fact of LOVE being the turning point, like this marvellous one from Bruh Paul to the Corinthians, where he waxes poetic and philosophical (smile). ‘And now abideth faith, hope, charity (LOVE), these three; but the greatest of these three is charity (LOVE).’ (1 Cor. 13:13)
Yes my faithful brethren, LOVE is indeed the most important of all attributes, because it’s the ONLY one that truly brings us together, and thus encourages peace more than strife! And if our world only had more LOVE than the current state of hate with which it’s now overrun, we would live much better lives than what’s currently available to so many. And we come back to the question, why is our world so strife-filled and enamoured of hate rather than LOVE?
And the easy answer is that we Christians, who are supposed to be harbingers of LOVE, are not doing our duty as we ought to. We won’t ever get rid of hate and anger until Jesus returns and sets up His kingdom here on earth, but our world would certainly not be as ungodly and evil, if we were doing a better job of living for Jesus. Just look at all the many divisions in the church, and the several directions in which they are going. How then can we ever achieve unity, which is Jesus’ desire, and which is the first step towards victory?
And I’ll leave us to ponder that all-important question on this Valentine’s Lazy-Day Saturday, my people. Much LOVE!
…LOVE is an action word…and it can only bring change if and when…it’s put into action…

Proverbs 19:1. Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.
Then it was Saturday, my brethren! Our lazy-day Saturday, when we can just relax and laze around at home, not worried about going to work in the cold, wintry weather. And believe me, though it’s bright and sunshiny, it’s also very cold out there. The computer is flashing a cold warning. So if you don’t have to go out, then don’t. I’m also remembering the wind that was a howling and caterwauling like a chorus or keening of crazed banshees (smile) in my area last night.
At one point, around ten thirty p.m., I kept hearing this strange noise outside, but thought that could not be the wind because it sounded so eerie. Then I looked outside and saw the leafless branches of the trees dancing like crazy and snow blowing wildly from west to east. Thankfully though, it didn’t last for much longer, and I hope it did not damage anyone or anything. So, having said all of that, (smile) let’s offer up our Lazy-Day Saturday Prayer in all sincerity and truth.
Amen!’
And if our words were faithful and true, our hearts right with the Lord, then He will undoubtedly bless us with the peace and calm of His marvellous Spirit; a peace and calm that our finite minds cannot comprehend, but which gives us the wherewithal to keep on keeping on in His awesome name.
Now, as I was looking through the Bible for something to talk about, (no, I don’t always have something planned when I come to write the Bit (smile), I came upon this most appropriate passage for these irresponsible and outlandish times from Cousin Sol in Proverbs. He writes: ‘Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.’ (Prov. 19:1)
Wow! What an amazing remark that highlights the lack of integrity in these greedy, selfish and irresponsible times, where our word means absolutely nothing, and we don’t feel compelled to keep it, if we give it. That’s why our society is in such an awful mess, with strife and chaos reigning from one end to the other. And that’s mostly because even our leaders, who are supposed to have serious integrity, no longer walk with any kind of integrity whatsoever.
And, unfortunately, the things that filter down from the top are the ungodly and sinful things like, greed, irresponsibility, hatred, anger, slander and hunger for power. And if you consider the upper echelons of our current society, those are the things that are driving it right now. So, it’s obvious that those governed by that type of leader will eventually adopt those habits, bringing eventual ruination to the society.
However, God’s people, those who seriously follow Jesus Christ are not supposed to be like that. We Christians are supposed to walk with integrity, responsibility, truth, and godliness in all our endeavours. And Cousin Sol says it so well in this passage from Proverbs on the ‘Companion of Riotous Men.’
‘Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness (integrity), than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich. Whoso keepeth the law is a wise (discerning) son: but he that is a companion of riotous men (gluttons) shameth his father. He that by usury and unjust gain (extortion) increaseth his substance (possessions), he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor. He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be an abomination.’ (Prov. 28:6-9)
Oh my people, that’s a mirror image of our own society in these turbulent and evil times! Extortion, blackmail, blasphemy, scandal mongering, total ignoring of the law, all those things are what’s happening in the world today. And it’s not starting from the bottom either, but from the top; the very heights of power. Leaders have now become so corrupted and power hungry that they will do anything to increase their earthly possessions and their power.
So what can you expect from the lower classes of society but the same thing eh? They see, and therefore believe that the only way to climb the ladder of worldly success is by behaving the way the rich and powerful leaders behave. And you really cannot give them wrong…unless they are Christians, for none of those things are worthy of the name of Jesus Christ.
And I like how Cousin Sol puts it in this next section titled, ‘Glory When Righteous Men Rejoice.’ He says: ‘Whoso causeth the righteous (upright) to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession (shall inherit good things). The rich man is wise in his own conceit (eyes); but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.
When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden (will be sought). He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Happy is the man that feareth always (is always reverent): but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief (calamity).
As a roaring lion and a ranging (charging) bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people. The prince that wanteth (lacks) understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days. A man that doeth violence to the blood of any person (is burdened with bloodshed) shall flee to the pit; let no man stay (help) him.’ (Prov. 28:10-17)
Ah friends, it’s all stated right there for us, from many centuries ago, and it’s playing out as if Cousin Sol is living with us today. No wonder he’s considered the wisest man ever. And please note he did not acquire this wisdom in his own strength and power, but through the merciful and gracious auspices of the Lord. And when we read those words above there, they ought to light a fire in our hearts, minds, bodies and souls; a fire that causes us to want to do the right thing, to do better than we’re currently doing. For we all know that regardless of how good we’re doing, we all have room for improvement.
So please, on this lazy-day Saturday in this wintry month of February, let’s pledge to do better nuh. Remember, it’s all for our benefit! Much LOVE!
…godliness was…is still…and will always be…the best way to live this earthly life…

Jeremiah 29:13. And ye shall seek me, and find me when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
And it’s still pretty cold, around minus 11 Celsius on this lazy-day Saturday, the last day of January, so the snow on the banks of the roads and rooftops can’t melt, but it’s also another glorious sunshiny day. And you know there’s nothing as beautiful as bright sunshine on clean, unadulterated snow; it just gleams like a precious jewel! (smile)
No, I’m not crazy. If you really enjoy God’s creations, you will notice that in every season, He’s made something beautiful and amazing in it. In the spring it’s the beautiful rebirth of the trees in green, in the summer it’s the total resurgence of life in nature, strong and sturdy, while fall shows off the marvellous colours of God’s artistry, and in winter it’s the beauty of the sunshine reflecting off the white snow. That’s God’s LOVE showing through. Although seasons change, and life becomes more difficult, He still graces us with wonders in each one.
But enough talk of the weather and the seasons, let’s offer up our Lazy-Day Saturday Prayer, with all sincerity and truth. As one strong voice: ‘Lord, I want to be with You now. Amen!’
And, as always, if our prayer was heartfelt, the Lord will soon respond with His soothing peace and calm overwhelming our spirits, for He’s ever glad to give His grace and mercy to those who seek Him with sincere hearts. And He’s said that so often in the Bible that I can’t understand why more of us don’t do it. As this foundational truth from Jeremiah reminds us, where the Lord clearly states: ‘And ye shall seek me, and find me when ye shall search for me with all your heart.’ (Jer. 29:13) That statement is as clear as day. If you want to find God then you have to seek Him with all of your heart. Not with wishy-washy lip service.
Now, that wasn’t something new to the Israelites, for Moses had long ago warned them: ‘And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind (remember them) among all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath driven thee, And shalt return unto the Lord thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul; That then the Lord will turn thy captivity (bring you back from captivity), and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the Lord hath scattered thee.’ (Deut. 30:1-3)
There you have it friends; the prescription for God’s compassion! Obey the Lord and LOVE Him with all thy heart and soul! And it’s exactly what Jesus says when the arrogant, smart-aleck Jewish lawyer tries to tempt Him into an argument by asking about the great commandment. ‘Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt LOVE the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt LOVE thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.’ (Matt. 22:37-40)
And as the scholars explain, Jesus outsmarted the lawyer by simply summarizing ‘the two tables of the law: (1) responsibility to God; and (2) responsibility to man, by paraphrasing Deuteronomy 6:5, and Leviticus 19:18, LOVE the Lord thy God and LOVE thy neighbour as thyself.’ And I like the overview from this commentary. ‘This commandment serves as the foundation for all spiritual life and obedience, requiring total, unselfish devotion to God.’
That’s for certain sure! It necessitates LOVING God with one’s entire being—heart, soul, mind, and strength. It then explicably leads to the second commandment, to LOVE your neighbour as yourself, as true LOVE for God ultimately leads to LOVE for others. For you can’t LOVE God and hate His human creation. As John so rightly tells us in his first epistle. If a man say, I LOVE God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that LOVETH not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he LOVE God, whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who LOVETH God LOVE his brother also.’ (1 John 4:20-21)
And when we truly focus on LOVING God, then we are better able to LOVE our neighbours with divine, selfless LOVE. And it’s as Jesus says, all the laws and the teachings of the prophets depend on those two commandments; LOVING God with everything you have and then LOVING your neighbour the way you LOVE yourself. Yes my faithful brethren, it’s all about LOVE, God’s greatest attribute. Remember how Bruh Paul puts it in that famous verse in his first letter to the Corinthians? ‘And now abideth faith, hope, charity (LOVE), these three: but the greatest of these is charity (LOVE).’ (1 Cor, 13:13)
And that’s the gospel truth! LOVE is indeed the greatest! And we all notice the great difference in our hearts and spirits when we’re filled with LOVE instead of hate. For as we say, though sometimes in jest, it’s very real: ‘LOVE makes the world go round!’ Now, on this cold lazy-day Saturday, it’s a good time to take a look at ourselves and see how we’re truly doing in the LOVE Department, ascertain the true the level of our LOVE meter.
Now, although some of us might be doing okay, we all have room for improvement, and I don’t need to tell us that our world is currently suffering from a serious lack of LOVE, and it’s our job as disciples and followers of Jesus Christ to embrace the LOVE Revolution and move it forward, so that when Jesus returns, He will find much hope, faith and LOVE here on earth! So, let’s put our hands, heads and hearts together and do it nuh…for Jesus! Much LOVE!
…all we do…should be done out of a sense of LOVE…

Psalm 121:2. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
Here we are friends, on this lazy-day Saturday, betwixt and between bright sunshine and dark cloudiness. Let’s hope the sunshine wins the day. (smile) And as it’s still pretty cold, snowy and dangerous out there, if you don’t have to go out, then don’t. Just stay inside and enjoy the fruits of your labour with rest and friendly communion with God. And we’ll begin the latter half of that equation by offering up our ‘Lazy-Day Saturday Prayer.’
As one strong and sincere voice: ‘Lord, I want to be with You now. Amen!’
Now, if our hearts were sincere and true, then the Lord will flood them with peace and goodwill, for there’s nothing He LOVES more than His children seeking greater intimacy with Him. And having accomplished that, let’s turn to our unfinished business with the poem, ‘Promises and Non-Promises of God’ where we still have to check out scriptures dealing with the promises for ‘help from above, unfailing sympathy, and undying LOVE.’
So, let’s get right into scriptures dealing with ‘help from above.’ And as expected, God’s promises in any area are numerous, but we’ll begin with these most reassuring words from Psalm 121, titled, ‘God Neither Slumbers Nor Sleeps.’ Please read with me: ‘I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills (mountains), from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved (slip): he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Behold he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper (protector): the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve (keep) thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve (keep) thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth and for evermore.’ (Ps. 121:1-8) There you have it friends, a golden promise that help comes directly from the Creator, who shields us from danger both day and night.
And we’ll highlight one more scripture on help from above, one that many of us know but don’t action in our everyday lives. The prophet Isaiah declares on the Lord’s behalf: ‘Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee: yea, I will help thee: yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.’ (Is. 41:10) Now how much more assurance can the Lord give than that eh? None really.
So let’s move on to ‘unfailing sympathy.’ And I like how this commentary explains it. ‘Scriptures regarding unfailing sympathy, compassion, and comfort emphasize God’s proximity to those in pain, the emotional connection of Jesus to human suffering, and the promise of ultimate relief from distress.’ But again, there are so many verses of promise to choose from that it just boggles the imagination.
Anyway, these most reassuring words from Bruh David in that magnificent Psalm 34, surely capture the idea of God’s sympathy and compassion for His children. ‘The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite (crushed) spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.’ (Ps. 34:19-19)
Oh my people how much more sympathy can we ask for eh? Meanwhile, in Jeremiah’s Lamentations, he highlights the very essence of God’s sympathy, when remembering God’s faithfulness, he writes: ‘This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.’ (Lam. 3:21-23)
But here is one of the greatest promises of heavenly empathy, as the author of Hebrews declares to us. ‘Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into (through) the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession (confession of faith). For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched (sympathize) with the feeling of our infirmities (our weaknesses; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly (confidently) unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.’ (Heb. 4:14-16)
Ah my fellow believers, there’s nobody who can sympathize, empathize and show more compassion than Jesus, because He knows firsthand what we experience in this evil and ungodly world! And that finally brings us to the last of the promises; ‘undying LOVE.’ And I won’t even bother to tell you that there are oodles of scriptures that talk about that, because it’s the most important attribute of God, and why He made us in the first place.
And possibly the greatest showing of God’s undying LOVE, is this verse from the lips of Jesus to Nicodemus the Jewish teacher. ‘For God so LOVED the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.’ (John 3:16) Then there’s one of my favourite scriptures, from the pen of Bruh Paul to the Romans. ‘But God commendeth (demonstrated) his own LOVE toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.’ (Rom. 5:8)
Yes mih bredrin, God didn’t wait for us to change our ways, His LOVE was so great that He went ahead and did His part, trusting that we would eventually do ours. What greater LOVE can be shown eh, than breaking your own heart by giving up your only Son to save a bunch of ungrateful sinners and doing it before they were even fully aware of it? And just for good measure, or lagniappe, we’ll throw in these wonderful assurances of Bruh Paul to the Roman church.
‘Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors, though him that LOVED us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the LOVE of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.’ (Rom. 8:37-39) That says it all my people!
Now let’s close with what this commentary calls the ‘Core Themes of God’s Undying LOVE: (1) His Unchanging Character: God’s LOVE does not fluctuate based on human performance, but is rooted in His faithful character. (2) His Sacrificial Action: The ultimate proof of this LOVE is Jesus Christ laying down His life. (3) God’s Eternal Presence: His LOVE is described as “everlasting” and “never fails,” offering comfort through trials.’
And this cold, snowy, lazy-day Saturday is an excellent day to understand, appreciate and accept God’s great promises, so that we can have the good and abundant life that Christ promised and died for us to have! Much LOVE!
…only as we understand, accept and action the promises of God…will we fulfill our God-given destiny…
